Many ballet lovers in Russia and all over the world share the opinion that Irina Perren embodies the soul and cultural spirit of St. Petersburg. Native of Leningrad, Irina dedicated her carrier to the city: graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and immediately joined the company of the Mikhailovsky Theatre, where her career progressed at breakneck speed. A brilliant performer of classical roles, she is no less successful a dancer of modern choreography from Béjart to Duato, and she knows to catch the individual style of each of them. Irina is always open to experimenting, and takes an active part in numerous new projects.
