A native of Kazan, Venera began here brilliant career right here in St. Petersburg. After graduating from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, she performed with the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera, and it was there that her sparkling, unusual talent first made itself known. Today, Venera Gimadieva is a leading soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, her name known to music-lovers throughout the world. Covent Garden, Teatro Real, La Fenice, the opera houses of Vienna, Zurich, Pekin, Munich, and Dresden, the BBC proms, and many other venues fill her touring schedule.
